Option 3 – In Person

In Person in Indiana: You may go to any county health department in the State of Indiana to obtain a certified copy of an Indiana Death certificate. Most Indiana Death certificates can be issued while you wait.

The fee to search for an Indiana Death certificate is $10.00, which includes one certified copy of the Indiana Death certificate or a "Certificate of Failure to Find."
