Introduction to Nevada Marriage Certificates

Nevada Marriage certificates have been maintained by the Nevada State Health Division/Office of Vital Records for individuals married in the state of Nevada since 1911.

• Mother/Father (or Legal Guardian) of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate
• Grandparents and Great Grandparents of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate
• Husband/Wife of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate 
• Adult Son/Daughter of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate
• Adult grandchildren of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate
• Sister/Brother of individual named on the Nevada Marriage certificate
• Aunt/Uncle of individual named on the Nevada Marriage certificate 
• Legal Representative of an Authorized Person of Person Named on the Nevada Marriage Certificate

Option 3 – In Person

In Person in Nevada: You may go to any county health department in the State of Nevada to obtain a certified copy of a Nevada Marriage certificate. Most Nevada Marriage certificates can be issued while you wait.

Nevada Marriage Certificate Ordering Cost

The fee to search for a Nevada Marriage certificate is $10.00, which includes one certified copy of the Nevada Marriage certificate or a "Certificate of Failure to Find." For each additional copy of the Nevada Marriage certificate ordered at the same time, the fee is $10.00. Checks or Money Orders should be made payable to "Nevada Section of Vital Statistics."
